Choosing to seek help is one of the hardest and bravest decisions a person can make, and this facility truly understands that. From the moment you walk through the doors, you are met with compassion, dignity, and genuine care. The staff goes above and beyond to create a safe, supportive environment where healing can begin. What stands out most is the dedication of everyone involved. The counselors, therapists, nurses, and support staff are not only highly skilled, but deeply invested in each person’s recovery journey. They treat every individual with respect, kindness, and unwavering encouragement, helping them rediscover their strength and hope. Recovery is never easy, but this facility provides the tools, guidance, and community needed to make lasting change possible. They don’t just focus on overcoming addiction—they help people rebuild their lives, restore relationships, and believe in themselves again. For anyone seeking a place where healing is nurtured with compassion and understanding, this rehab facility is truly a beacon of hope. The impact they have on individuals and families is profound, and their commitment to recovery changes lives every single day. Dear Dr. G Janet, David, Emily, Em, and the entire team, I want to express my deepest gratitude for the incredible care, compassion, and support you provide every single day. The work you do goes far beyond treatment—you offer hope, healing, and a renewed sense of purpose to those who need it most. Recovery is often one of the most difficult journeys a person can face, but your kindness, patience, and unwavering dedication make that journey feel possible. You create a safe and welcoming environment where individuals are treated with dignity, respect, and understanding. Your encouragement helps people find strength they may not have realized they still had. Each of you plays a vital role in changing lives. Whether through your professional expertise, your listening ear, or your compassionate hearts, you make a lasting difference not only for those in recovery, but also for their families and loved ones. The impact of your work extends far beyond the walls of your facility. Thank you for believing in people, even when they may struggle to believe in themselves. Thank you for the countless ways you inspire hope, foster healing, and remind others that recovery is possible. Your dedication and commitment are truly life-changing. I made it there 105 days and it’s because of all of you that I now have a lifetime of sobriety to look forward to. I love you all and thank you for everything. Here is the Raccoon from Dr. G. I put it right where I said I was going to on my dash on my car. This is a stark reminder for me every day. Bill With heartfelt appreciation and gratitude,

I learned a tremendous amount while at the Recovery Village. I was able to let down my guard when it comes to learning new techniques & actually putting them in place. The negative part of the Center was that they need to hire more cleaners or janitors. I saw blood and even boogers on the walls.

Man what a place! The program, the accommodations, the staff, are all top tier. I have been to several facilities all over the U.S. and Recovery Village is by far the best. From the food and kitchen staff to the CEO and BHTs the whole crew is amazing. A true God send for me. Just what I needed when I needed it. If you are struggling and looking for a place to turn your life around and start new beginnings this is the place. They accept almost all insurances and treat everyone as equals. I cannot think of a better place to get things going in the right direction. Give them a call. Hats off to Scott and his crew for their caring open door approach to saving lives. Thanks from the bottom of my heart.

One year ago, June 28th, 2023, I checked myself into The Recovery Village at Palmer Lake. I was broken, scared and didn’t have one answer - other than I needed help. I was beyond sick and tired of being sick and tired. After my 41 day stay, I walked out the door feeling alive again. I was happy again. Feeling again. The education I received still leaves me feeling so very grateful. You have to bust your tail in here - if you want it. The warmth. The understanding. The guidance. The pushes and nudges. I think about every person that helped me on my sobriety path in there.. they became “my people.” I couldn’t think of a better way to end this day….to recognize and pay my sincere gratitude and respects to the wonderful people who make Palmer Lake what it is. One year later… I AM STILL SOBER😊. Thank you🤍 Katie Watters
Response from the owner:Thank you for sharing your powerful journey! Congratulations on your incredible milestone—we’re honored to have played a role in your healing and continued sobriety.

I only stayed for detox but they made it as comfortable as it could possibly be. Case Management was great, they didn’t want me to leave without an exit plan and helped set up a meeting with an IOP in my hometown. They also helped with my leave of absence and were familiar with that process. It took a lot of stress off of me so I wasn’t worried about losing my job while getting help.

I found the group therapy approach to sobriety to be incredibly impactful. I am still sober two years later and I really appreciate what Palmer like recovery did for me both in the residential programs as well as the aftercare programs that I participated in. Very much a fan of living away from your normal life and spend the time to get your self back on track. Excellent way to deal with trauma and live life sober.

There are a number of ventures that are never truely appreciated in their time for the impact it has or can have on someone's life. For me i knew the gravitas that this amazing facility would have on me to say it saved my life sells it short. For the programs and therapies and everything else they have developed here for addiction recovery are at the bleeding edge of what is possible when it comes to treatment. And if that alone does not get 5 stars let's not forget the breathtaking views and scenery. If you find yourself facing the abyss that is unique to substance abuse recovery and are fortunate enough to be here or anywhere even close to here trust me you have the ability to save your life

My therapist Shae was amazing! He is what kept me there on days I really wanted to quit. I couldn’t have done it without him! From the first time I met him in detox to having one on one sessions. He helped me find myself again and so much more! By the end of the stay I didn’t want to go. Thank you Shea!!!! As for the rest, the meals were great for the most part. Most of the staff was kind and caring excusing the few bad apples. There were a lot of spiders and ants in the room and we did not have a tv. But they do allow you to keep your phone at all times with cameras covered and your vape after detox. In detox you are kept comfortable. I just took my meds and slept for 4 days and boy did I need that rest! The worst part was that I was told they took Medicaid then told they don’t. Then told they will take both of my insurances and that they were on my file to later find out only my primary was on there. The consistency here isnt the best. My whole stay someone would tell me something and another the exact opposite. But other than that I would say it was a nice stay. Also nurse Kendra in meds was so joyful. And Mr. David and Jessica’s classes were interesting and fun. I really enjoyed my instructors.

Recovery Village at Palmer Lake truly changed my life in ways I didn’t think were possible. From the moment I arrived, I was met with compassion instead of judgment. The staff—therapists, nurses, techs, and support team—genuinely care about each person who walks through those doors. They don’t just treat addiction; they treat the whole person. The setting itself is peaceful and grounding. Being surrounded by the beauty of Palmer Lake and the mountains creates space to breathe, reflect, and heal. It’s hard to explain how much that environment adds to the recovery process, but it makes a difference. The clinical team is knowledgeable and professional, offering structured therapy, group sessions, and individualized treatment plans that actually address the root causes of addiction. I felt heard in my one-on-one sessions and supported in group therapy by both staff and peers. They create an atmosphere where vulnerability feels safe. What stood out most to me was the sense of community. Recovery can feel isolating, but at Palmer Lake, I found connection, accountability, and hope. The alumni support and aftercare planning also helped me feel prepared for life after treatment instead of just being sent back into the world. If you or someone you love is struggling, Recovery Village at Palmer Lake is a place where healing truly begins. It’s not just a treatment center—it’s a foundation for a new life.
