great program and therapists. 108 days sober today 😊

I spent 72 days at this facility for the first time in any kind of recovery facility so didn't know what to expect. What Palmer Lake did was far exceeded my expectations or reservations before going in. The most caring, loving and beautiful staff you will meet anywhere! Some people come to work for a paycheck, these folks come to work only because they care to see everyone get better and stay better! It should be called, Palmer Lake Recovery University! I had two separate therapists and dang they were good!! The level of experience staff and education they teach about substance abuse is at a Harvard level. The location and facility is beautiful and the food, dining hall is five star! They clearly know what they are doing.

Did missions team was awesome they have me a ride coming even to pick me up all the way in Thornton The program seems amazing and very appropriate to be able to get sober and clean you almost wanted to be like a vacation so you don't have to worry about anything else you know it's a really looks like a great program and I'm excited to go there.

For me. It was as if they showed me the owner's manual for my brain and then, taught me how to repair it.

Going to the recovery village at Palmer Lake truly changed my life! The staff is made up of a comprehensive group of individuals that truly care about their patients. The medical team overseas your health so you can begin your new journey strong. You’re able to build relationships with others like you who are struggling and life long lasting friendships. Numerous tools are provided to help you post recovery and the team is always available to you in an emergency. Various styles of therapy are offered, and healthy meals are provided. No recovery facility is perfect however, the setting in beautiful monument, Colorado, hikes, the labyrinth, the swimming pool, offsite activities. Keep you engaged in the real world all well finding your peace. I will be forever grateful to the team at the recovery village of Palmer Lake. Shout out to Arno, Dr. G., Janet, Melissa, Bill, David,, Cindy, Amanda, Dr. Rachael and the woman who truly runs things ha ha Danielle and many others too many to name. As I stated before, no place is perfect and the largest area for improvement is Cleanliness in common spaces. When I was ready to depart, they had to address this by hiring additional staff so I’m hoping it’s much better now. I am pretty particular and high maintenance regarding hotel stays and there’s nothing at Palmer lake that I couldn’t live with. I just advocated for myself and spoke up when there was something I needed done. I hope you will truly give PLR the team they are saved my life! 🥰

Enough cannot be said about the value of Palmer lake! The staff are all very highly qualified, collaborate daily, and provided all the necessary education programs and services needed from psychotherapy to group education classes daily. The facility itself is in a very beautiful scenic and peaceful location in the foothills with abundant wildlife and a lovely walking trail. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Food was prepared daily, almost always top notch, with a salad bar provided every day. And the dining room was absolutely gorgeous with windows from floor to ceiling on one wall to provide plenty of sunlight and a beautiful view. there are also snacks available throughout the day. I felt very safe, well-cared for and comfortable, and started on the right path to my healing and recovery both with my alcoholism, addiction, and deep-seated mental health issues related to those symptoms!

One year ago, June 28th, 2023, I checked myself into The Recovery Village at Palmer Lake. I was broken, scared and didn’t have one answer - other than I needed help. I was beyond sick and tired of being sick and tired. After my 41 day stay, I walked out the door feeling alive again. I was happy again. Feeling again. The education I received still leaves me feeling so very grateful. You have to bust your tail in here - if you want it. The warmth. The understanding. The guidance. The pushes and nudges. I think about every person that helped me on my sobriety path in there.. they became “my people.” I couldn’t think of a better way to end this day….to recognize and pay my sincere gratitude and respects to the wonderful people who make Palmer Lake what it is. If ever need help. This the place to go. It changed my life. Everyone understands whats happening and the way they teach it or talk is good. I was afraid to talk to anyone, because I that it was only me. There's alot to in your boat just as same you hop on and row. Thank you plamer lake

At the time of writing this, I am 473 days sober, thanks in large part to this place. (I have heard that there may have been changes in ownership/management since I was here, but my review is of my experience) I had as good of an experience as one can have doing recovery work like this, which is to say, "I had an amazing experience at Palmer Lake!!" Very difficult work with self and others, but the most rewarding kind of work there is. The staff were friendly, helpful, experienced and professional. The program itself was very top level in terms of psychological and experiential content (I know this having continued with CBT and DBT therapy). There were lots of activities which are normally related to substances (billiards and games, karaoke, etc.) to gain exposure to these things in a safe place. The facility itself is in a beautiful location as well. I would recommend this program to anyone! Thank you PLR!!!

I had a great experience, I only went to detox do to just having a short relapse but I ended up staying for the 30 day program. I strongly recommend Recovery Village to anyone that is struggling with addiction or mental issues. The staff are great, good facility, good programs and the food was good as well. Thank you to all the staff at PLR! This experience changed my life!
